Add-On Rentals
Yellowstone rewards those who look a little closer. Add high-quality binoculars or a spotting telescope to your rental and experience the landscape with a level of detail most visitors never reach. Elk moving across distant meadows. Bighorn sheep navigating canyon cliffs. Eagles riding thermals high above the river.
And the best part — we’ll help you know when and where to look. Our team shares local insight on timing, terrain, and wildlife patterns to give you your best shot at meaningful sightings. Available in 1, 2, or 3-day rentals. Easy to add when you book your ride. Most guests who add optics say it completely changes what they’re able to see.
Binoculars or a spotting telescope for a full day in the park — the perfect add-on to any e-bike ride.
Two full days of up-close wildlife viewing. Ideal for an overnight stay or a more relaxed, extended experience.
The extended explorer option. Keep it with you for the duration of your Yellowstone adventure and never miss a moment worth seeing.
Yellowstone is one of them.
Yellowstone E-Bike Tours & Rentals was created with a simple belief — a place this extraordinary deserves to be experienced differently. Not rushed. Not crowded. Not from behind glass. But outside, moving, and fully present.
Every tour begins in Gardiner, Montana, at the historic Roosevelt Arch — Yellowstone's original entrance. The words carved into the stone, For the Benefit and Enjoyment of the People, aren't just history. They're an invitation to slow down and remember what it feels like to truly be somewhere.
Our rides are intentionally small — never more than 10 guests — so the experience stays personal, unhurried, and real. Pedal-assist e-bikes make the journey approachable without taking away from what makes it special. You'll hear the wind through the valley, feel the sun and the cool mountain air, and take in that unmistakable scent of the outdoors — clean, wild, and grounding.
And somewhere along the way, the noise of everyday life begins to fade. Conversations come easier. Laughter feels lighter. Moments last longer.
When we return to Gardiner? Pizza, stories, and that "Did you see that?!" kind of energy — the kind you carry with you.
Small groups. Big experiences. Never more than 10 guests. Stewardship first — we follow wildlife regulations and practice Leave No Trace. Local guides who know this landscape intimately. All levels welcome — if you can ride a bike, you can do this.
Not at all. If you can ride a regular bike, you're ready to ride an e-bike. Our guides will walk you through everything before we roll — pedal assist controls, gears, braking. Most first-timers are grinning within the first mile.
Not very — and that’s intentional.
Our 22-mile ride is designed to feel smooth, relaxed, and enjoyable from start to finish. Pedal-assist e-bikes make hills feel easy, so you can ride comfortably at your own pace.
We include frequent stops along the way — for photos, wildlife viewing, and water breaks — so you’ll always have time to rest and take it all in.
This is about experiencing Yellowstone — not pushing your limits.
Wear comfortable clothes you can move in and closed-toe shoes — no sandals or Crocs, please. For safety and comfort on the ride, this is required.
Bring layers — mornings in Gardiner can be cool, even in summer.
Sunscreen and sunglasses are a must, and we highly recommend lip balm (chapstick) with SPF — the sun, wind, and dry mountain air can sneak up on you.
Bring a water bottle; we’ll take care of the pizza. Helmets are provided.
Your guide will also have binoculars for spotting wildlife in the distance and carry bear spray as part of standard safety precautions — so you can simply relax and enjoy the ride.
Wildlife sightings are never guaranteed — they’re wild, after all. But this route travels through prime habitat, and sightings on most tours are common.
Elk, bighorn sheep, pronghorn antelope, mule deer, whitetail deer, and bald eagles are frequent along this stretch.
Wildlife activity can vary depending on time of day and weather — on warmer days, animals often rest or move to cooler areas — which means every ride feels a little different.
And that unpredictability is part of what makes each ride unforgettable.
Age isn’t the only factor — comfort, confidence, and the ability to safely control an e-bike matter most.
Riders should be able to confidently start, stop, balance, and handle an adult e-bike. While many riders are 10+, every guest is different, and final approval is at the discretion of your guide to ensure a safe and enjoyable experience for everyone.
A minimum height of approximately 4'8" is required to safely fit our e-bikes.
For younger or less experienced riders, we offer smaller e-bikes and tandem e-bike options so families can still ride together.
If you’re unsure about a specific rider, feel free to reach out — we’re happy to help you decide what’s best for your group.
We know plans can change. We offer a full refund for cancellations made 30+ days in advance and a 50% refund for cancellations made 14–30 days prior (refunds are subject to a 3% processing fee). Cancellations within 14 days of your tour and no-shows are non-refundable.
Tours run in most weather. If we need to cancel due to unsafe conditions or unforeseen circumstances, you’ll receive a full refund or the option to reschedule.
If availability allows, we’re always happy to help you reschedule your tour.
All tours and rentals depart from our base at 114 Main St, Gardiner, MT 59030 — right in the heart of town, just steps from the iconic Roosevelt Arch.
Parking is available nearby.
Please plan to arrive 15 minutes early so we can get you fitted, comfortable, and ready to ride.
Once you book, we’ll send detailed directions and arrival instructions to make everything easy and seamless.
Absolutely. Our e-bike rentals are available independently — no tour required.
Choose from a full-day or morning/afternoon half-day option and explore at your own pace.
We’re happy to share local route recommendations, scenic highlights, and the best times and areas for wildlife viewing to help you make the most of your ride.
You can also add binoculars or a spotting scope for an additional fee to enhance your wildlife viewing experience.
Just show up, get fitted, and head out on your own Yellowstone adventure.
Guests are responsible for any damage to or loss of their e-bike during the rental or tour.
We’ll walk you through proper use and safety before your ride, and our bikes are built to handle the terrain — just ride responsibly and you’ll be in great shape.
If anything does happen, we’ll assess the damage and discuss the next steps with you directly.
Just show up, get fitted, and head out on your own Yellowstone adventure.
Gratuities are never expected, but always appreciated. Our guides do more than lead the way — they share the stories, wildlife insights, and hidden details that make this place come alive. If your guide helped make your ride unforgettable, a tip is a meaningful way to say thank you.
