Not at all. If you can ride a regular bike, you're ready to ride an e-bike. Our guides will walk you through everything before we roll — pedal assist controls, gears, braking. Most first-timers are grinning within the first mile.
Not very — and that’s intentional.
Our 22-mile ride is designed to feel smooth, relaxed, and enjoyable from start to finish. Pedal-assist e-bikes make hills feel easy, so you can ride comfortably at your own pace.
We include frequent stops along the way — for photos, wildlife viewing, and water breaks — so you’ll always have time to rest and take it all in.
This is about experiencing Yellowstone — not pushing your limits.
Wear comfortable clothes you can move in and closed-toe shoes — no sandals or Crocs, please. For safety and comfort on the ride, this is required.
Bring layers — mornings in Gardiner can be cool, even in summer.
Sunscreen and sunglasses are a must, and we highly recommend lip balm (chapstick) with SPF — the sun, wind, and dry mountain air can sneak up on you.
Bring a water bottle; we’ll take care of the pizza. Helmets are provided.
Your guide will also have binoculars for spotting wildlife in the distance and carry bear spray as part of standard safety precautions — so you can simply relax and enjoy the ride.
Wildlife sightings are never guaranteed — they’re wild, after all. But this route travels through prime habitat, and sightings on most tours are common.
Elk, bighorn sheep, pronghorn antelope, mule deer, whitetail deer, and bald eagles are frequent along this stretch.
Wildlife activity can vary depending on time of day and weather — on warmer days, animals often rest or move to cooler areas — which means every ride feels a little different.
And that unpredictability is part of what makes each ride unforgettable.
Age isn’t the only factor — comfort, confidence, and the ability to safely control an e-bike matter most.
Riders should be able to confidently start, stop, balance, and handle an adult e-bike. While many riders are 10+, every guest is different, and final approval is at the discretion of your guide to ensure a safe and enjoyable experience for everyone.
A minimum height of approximately 4'8" is required to safely fit our e-bikes.
For younger or less experienced riders, we offer smaller e-bikes and tandem e-bike options so families can still ride together.
If you’re unsure about a specific rider, feel free to reach out — we’re happy to help you decide what’s best for your group.
We know plans can change. We offer a full refund for cancellations made 30+ days in advance and a 50% refund for cancellations made 14–30 days prior (refunds are subject to a 3% processing fee). Cancellations within 14 days of your tour and no-shows are non-refundable.
Tours run in most weather. If we need to cancel due to unsafe conditions or unforeseen circumstances, you’ll receive a full refund or the option to reschedule.
If availability allows, we’re always happy to help you reschedule your tour.
