Weather cancellations: We run tours in most weather — Yellowstone in light rain is still an experience worth having. We'll only cancel on our end if conditions become genuinely unsafe: lightning, severe storms, or trail conditions that put riders at risk.
To cancel or modify a booking, please call us at (406) 517-6566 as soon as you know you need to make a change. We'll do our best to work with you.
Safety Guidelines
We're operating in a national park ecosystem with real wildlife, real terrain, and real conditions that change. We take safety seriously — for our guests, our guides, and the animals and landscape we ride through.
Before and during your tour or rental:
Wildlife safety:
First aid: Our guides carry a first aid kit on every tour. In the event of an emergency, we have communication equipment and will coordinate with emergency services as needed. Please notify your guide immediately of any injury or medical concern.
Rental Terms
By completing a rental, you agree to the following terms. We've written them in plain English because you deserve to actually understand what you're agreeing to.
| Item | Policy |
|---|---|
| Bike condition at pickup | You'll do a walkthrough with our staff. Any pre-existing damage will be noted. Undocumented damage at return is your responsibility. |
| Damage during rental | Renters are responsible for damage beyond normal wear and tear. Significant damage may result in repair charges. |
| Late returns | Please return your bike on time. Call us if you're running late. Late returns may incur an additional fee and affect other renters. |
| Theft | Never leave your rental bike unattended and unsecured. Bikes are equipped with GPS and anti-theft technology. In the event of theft, contact us and local authorities immediately. |
| Helmet use | Helmets must be worn whenever riding. This is non-negotiable and is required by our insurance and for your safety. |
| Off-limits areas | Do not ride in areas where cycling is prohibited. In Yellowstone, this includes backcountry trails and boardwalks. Riding in prohibited areas voids any damage protection. |
| Number of riders | One person per bike. Bikes are not to be ridden by anyone other than the registered renter. |
A note on our bikes: The Aventon Aventure 3 is a quality, well-maintained machine. We service our bikes regularly and inspect each one before every rental. If you notice a mechanical issue during your rental, contact us immediately — do not attempt to repair the bike yourself, and do not continue riding if it feels unsafe.
Liability & Waiver
All participants in our guided tours and rentals are required to sign a liability waiver prior to departure. This waiver acknowledges that outdoor activities — including e-bike riding in a natural environment — involve inherent risks, and that you are choosing to participate with full knowledge of those risks.
We take every precaution to ensure your safety. We maintain our equipment, employ experienced guides, and follow established safety protocols. However, we cannot eliminate all risk, and we ask that you ride responsibly and within your abilities at all times.
If you have questions about our waiver before you arrive, call us at (406) 517-6566 and we'll walk you through it.
Park & E-Bike Regulations
Yellowstone National Park has specific regulations governing e-bike use. The Aventon Aventure 3 is a Class 1 pedal-assist e-bike, which is permitted on roads and paved surfaces open to traditional bicycles.
Our guided tours operate outside park boundaries on the Old Yellowstone Trail, where e-bikes are fully permitted.
